I’m an over protective dad (just ask my wife) and I take precautions (maybe too many). I took Laney out for some fresh air a few days ago and we played around in the yard. As I turned to take a few pictures she apparently saw some “treats.” I spun around to take a picture of her and saw an up close photo of these in her mouth (a rock and an acorn). Scared. Me. To. Death. Can’t look away for a second.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 And even the hairs of your head are all counted. 31 So do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows. —Matthew 10
It brings me peace that God doesn’t look away from me. I can’t see everything, but God does; I can’t be every where, but God can; I’m not the perfect “daddy,” but God is. The one thing we can all rely on is that God is there. I can be as scared or full of fear as possible, but it does not change the fact that “I know that He watches me,” to quote His Eye Is On The Sparrow. Remember today, that God does not take His eye off of you, nor is He ever far from your place or your circumstances. God is near. Take heart!
