It Doesn’t Fit

What can I say?! The tree doesn’t fit in the trunk. Sorry if you expected something a little deeper. Sometimes, things are just obvious.

18 “If the world hates you, be aware that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. Because you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world—therefore the world hates you. —John 15

As Christians, it should be obvious that we don’t fit in this world, either. Our morals, our ethics, our standards, even our families—we don’t fit. We’re not like the world because we weren’t made for it. In fact, no human being was made to be shaped after the pattern of this sinful world. Each of us was made to look like and live like Jesus. That’s where we fit—in Jesus. He’s the right vehicle (the only vehicle) that can carry us to the throne of grace. In the future, remember to use the right vehicle.

  2. That scripture is comforting because it usually lets me know that I’m doing it right! I will be criticized; I will be thought of as “stupid” or “unenlightened.” But if I’m following the voice of the Shepard, it’s all okay.

      1. Great use of the picture and a wonderful reminder that we are in this world, but not of it. Love you!
